This book contains the results of a systematic research on the steady-state behavior,
and the transients occurring in any fluid power systems, trying to draw a straight line
between theory and practice through the aid of Simcenter Amesim—Advanced Modeling
Environment for Simulation of Engineering Systems (Amesim in short), created by Société
IMAGINE from France, and then further developed by LMS Corporation from Belgium.
Amesim covers the analysis, synthesis, and design cover flow and pressure valves; fixed
and variable displacement pumps and motors; electrohydraulic servovalves, servopumps,
and servomotors; hydraulic and electrohydraulic servomechanisms; and some important
applications in the field of manufacturing, aerospace, automotive, civil, and power engineering.
Most of the theoretical treatises are presented in a practical manner, starting from
the needs of the designers.
